Terms and conditions for booking events

Our services are intended for commercial customers. All the prices are net plus the statutory VAT. If you book an event privately, please inform us before the booking. You will then receive all the necessary information from us in accordance with Section 312c German Civil Code.

Conditions of participation – cancellation

After receipt of the booking, you will receive a confirmation and an invoice. The contract between you and us shall enter into effect when you receive the confirmation. The participation fee which can be seen on the invoice shall be due immediately after receipt of the invoice. Please note that you will only be admitted if the participation fee has been paid before the date of the event. In the event of a registration at short notice, you may pay on site.

In the event of a cancellation up to 14 days before the date of the event, a processing fee plus the statutory VAT shall be charged. If the registration is withdrawn after this date without naming a replacement participant, 50% of the participation shall be charged. In the event of a cancellation on the day of the event or a non-appearance, the participation fee shall be due in full. Cancellations must take place in writing.

The organiser reserves the right to make changes to the programme due to unforeseen circumstances. For good cause – for example in the event of force majeure, the illness of the speaker or too few participants – the organiser is entitled to relocate events or name an alternative date. The organiser must inform the registered participants of the relevant changes with regard to the place and time, along with the necessary cancellation of the original date. Only if no alternative rooms or no alternative date can be named for reasons for which the organiser is not responsible shall he/she have the right to cancel the event with the immediate, full reimbursement of any fees which have already been paid. No further claims shall exist.

Room reservation

Rooms at preferential prices shall be available in the hotels specified in the event programme or in the registration confirmation under the keyword “Heuer Dialog”. Please book your own room and pay your own bill.

Participation in our events shall be at your own risk. During the event, you shall have accident insurance through your employer. In the event-free period and during activities in the accompanying programme, you shall not have this insurance cover. Our liability shall be limited to wilful intent and gross negligence.

Privacy Policy of Heuer Dialog GmbH

We take the protection of our users’ personal data very seriously and adhere strictly to the regulations of the data privacy laws (e.g. German Telemedia Act; German Federal Data Protection Act). The data collected is protected to the very best of our ability by technical and organisational measures as part of our IT security policy. Your data will not be passed on to third parties. Exceptions to this shall only be made in the event of a statutory or legal obligation or if you have expressly consented to your data being passed on or desire this.

This privacy policy aims to give you an overview of how we guarantee this protection and what type of data is collected for what purpose. If you desire further information or have questions regarding the use of your data on these webpages which are not answered by this privacy policy, contact us at any time. You will find our contact details in the Legal notice, or you can contact Edith Pekrul, datenschutz@heuer-dialog.de, directly.

Automatic data processing

When you access our webpages, the information transmitted to us by your browser will automatically be saved in our server log files. This includes:

  • Browser type / version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL (the previous page visited)
  • Host name of the accessing computer (IP address)
  • Time of the server request.

It is not technically possible for us to assign this data to specific people. This data will not be merged with other data sources (e.g. any registration data), and the data will be deleted after a statistical analysis and not kept as an individual data record.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", text files which are stored on your computer and enable your use of the website to be analysed. The information about your use of this website (including your IP address) generated by the cookies is transferred to a Google server in the USA, where it is stored.

Google will use this information in order to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports on the website activities for the website operator and to provide other services associated with the website use and the internet use. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if this is required by law or if the third parties have been commissioned by Google to process this data. Google will never associate your IP address with other Google data. You can prevent the installation of cookies by making a corresponding setting in your browser software; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to make full use of all the functions of this website.

By using this website, you are agreeing that the data collected about you may be processed by Google as described above and for the aforementioned purpose. You may opt out of the collection and storage of data at any time with effect for the future [http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de]. In view of the discussion of the use of analytical tools with full IP addresses, we would like to point out that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension "_anonymizeIp()", so that IP addresses are only processed in an abbreviated form, in order to prevent them from being linked to a specific individual.

Services requiring registration - newsletter etc.

If you would like to use the offers and services (personalised or subject to a charge) offered on the website, we require further information from you in order to provide these services and for billing purposes.

This information/data will be used by us until further notice to tailor our offers to the requirements of our customers, for product information and for advertising and customer support.

These data include, in particular, your name, your valid e-mail address, as well as further information (address, telephone number, IP address, etc.) for abuse control which will enable us, for example, to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided or that the owner of the e-mail adress agrees to receive the services desired, so that we can provide these services and ultimately invoice you properly.

The entry of a valid e-mail address is required, so that we can prevent fraudulent registrations – for example for newsletters. Accordingly, we use the so-called double opt-in process, in which, after entering your e-mail address on our website, you receive a so-called confirmation e-mail to confirm your registration and have to verify your e-mail address by clicking on the corresponding link.

The aforementioned data is so-called personal data, i.e. data which allows your identity to be established. However, you are able to use our open-access website without having to reveal your identity in full or in part.

As part of the registration, you may provide us with further data – in addition to the data for the provision of the services (for example: industry, occupational group, age etc.) – on a voluntary basis, for example in the appropriate fields on the form. This data will be used by us to tailor our offers to the requirements of our customers, for product information for our advertising and for customer support. The data will only be passed on to third parties to the aforementioned limited extent.

Your personal data will be used by Heuer Dialog GmbH, our parent company (Immobilien Zeitung Verlagsgesellschaft mbH), the dfv media group and co-organisers who are clearly shown as such in the programme invitation, and not passed on to third parties. Access within the respective companies is restricted to authorised personnel only and is limited to data which is necessary for the performance of the task at hand. Exceptions shall only apply if you have expressly agreed to the data being passed on or desire this.

If you do not want to receive our offers any more, you can opt out of the use of your data – indicating your address.

Social bookmarks

Our website uses social plugins (“plugins”) provided by the social network facebook.com, operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304 (“Facebook”). The plugins are identifiable by a Facebook logo (white “f” on a blue tile or a “thumbs up” sign) or the notice “Facebook Social Plugin”. The list and the appearance of the Facebook social plugins can be viewed here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins.

When you visit a page of a website which contains a social plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers. Facebook directly transfers the plugin content to your browser which embeds the latter into the website. Therefore, we have no influence on the amount of data which Facebook collects with the help of this plugin, and we are providing this information on the basis of the latest knowledge available to us.

When the plugin is embedded into the website, this enables Facebook to receive the information that you have accessed the respective page of our website. If you are logged into to Facebook, your visit can be assigned to your Facebook account. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking “Like” or by entering a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted from your browser directly to Facebook and stored there. If you are not a member of Facebook, it is still possible that Facebook will find out and store your IP address.

For information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by Facebook, as well as your rights in this respect and settings options for protecting your privacy, please visit Facebook’s privacy policy: http://www.facebook.com/policy.php.

If you are a member of Facebook and do not want Facebook to collect data concerning your visit to our website and to connect it with your data saved on Facebook, you must log off Facebook before visiting our website.

Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies in several places. Cookies are small text files which are stored on your computer and saved by your browser. Cookies do no harm to your computer and do not contain any viruses. No personal data is saved by us in connection with cookies.

Cookies enable us to provide important functions, such as user registration, newsletter subscriptions and event bookings. You can prevent the installation of cookies by making a corresponding setting in your browser software; however, we would like to point out that in this case the aforementioned functions may not be available to you.

Web bugs

In our newsletters, so-called web bugs (also called tracking pixels or clear gifs) are used to count the number of times the newsletter has been accessed. These are invisible graphics, 1x1 pixel in size, which are connected to the user ID of the respective newsletter subscriber and thus provide information about the number of times the user in question accesses the contents of the newsletter.

Opt-out from (further) data processing and use

You may, at any time, revoke the consent which you have granted us to store your personal data and to use it for the provision of the relevant services, without incurring any additional costs beyond the transmission costs in accordance with the basic tariffs. Please note that we may use your data for billing purposes, as far as necessary, even after you have opted out of the use and/or storage of this data. The opt-out of the further use of the data shall also result in the services purchased by you being ceased immediately by us.

Right to information

Your trust is important to us. Therefore, we would like to answer questions relating to the processing of your personal data at any time. If you have questions which this privacy policy was unable to answer or if you desire in-depth information on a point, please contact us at any time at datenschutz@heuer-dialog.de or by post. On request, we will be happy to answer enquiries or requests for information, and shall also do so in writing/by post for your piece of mind.

Changes to and availability of the data privacy regulations

Due to changes and adjustments to the services offered, amendments to the law and, if applicable, loopholes which are only detected later, changes to these data privacy regulations may become necessary. We will inform you of such changes – to the extent that they occur – by e-mail to the e-mail address which you have given to us.
